NJPW and AEW confirmed that Kazuchika Okada vs. Bryan Danielson and Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay will take place at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Danielson, via video message, appeared at NJPW Dominion and challenged Okada to the dream match. Okada was quick to accept, saying the "forbidden door" would be open.
Ospreay earned his match against Omega, and a shot at the IWGP US Title, by defeating Lance Archer in the finals of the number one contenders tournament at NJPW Dominion.
