- Bryan Myers, who wrestled in WWE as Curt Hawkins, posted the following video on Twitter, teasing a return on July 18. Whether or not this is a coincidence, IMPACT's Slammiversary show is also taking place on that same day.

- On today's New Japan Cup card, which featured the two semifinal matches, the Grand Master that has been teased in vignettes in recent weeks has been revealed to be Master Wato, who is Hirai Kawato, a young lion who has been on excursion in Mexico competing for CMLL. Wato, who last wrestled in January on a CMLL show, was attacked by DOUKI.

- WWE stock opened at $45.55 per share when the stock market opened this morning.
