The Cruiserweight Title bout at WWE Elimination Chamber is set.
On Tuesday's episode of 205 Live, Akira Tozawa defeated Cedric Alexander, Lio Rush and Humberto Carrillo to earn a shot at Buddy Murphy and his Cruiserweight Title at Elimination Chamber. Tozawa was part of the WWE Royal Rumble Fatal Four-Way that also included Murphy, Hideo Itami, and Kalisto. Murphy successfully defended his title on that night, scoring the pinfall on Itami.
Tozawa is a former Cruiserweight Champion, having defeated Neville on August 14, 2017. He lost the title back to Neville six days later at SummerSlam. Murphy has been the Cruiserweight Champion since October 2018.
