Bully Ray Places Equal Blame On Brie Bella And Liv Morgan For Botched Kick

Bully Ray has offered plenty of hot takes following the incident between Brie Bella and Liv Morgan on Raw. Thus far, he's chalked it up to "wrestling ain't ballet" and told Liv to "rub some dirt on it, rest up, and make the next town." But his hottest take might be placing part of the blame on Liv herself.

Talking on Busted Open Radio, Ray first explained that Brie's timing may have been off due to ring rust.

"Wouldn't it be safe to say that Brie still has some ring rust on her? Saying 'Brie has ring rust on her' is not a knock on Brie. Ring rust happens to any and all wrestlers who are not in the ring for a significant amount of time. There are very few guys -- and gals -- who can jump back in the ring and be at the same level that they were," he said. "Plus, Brie came back, had a child. In a recent interview, she said that the dive spot that did not go well, she didn't realize that she might have been a little bit slower after having the baby. I can totally understand that. Rust never sleeps. It can set in on anybody. The little bit of rust could be showing in the ring."

Ray is referencing an interview Brie did with Yahoo after the Raw where two suicide dive attempts went wrong. In the interview, Brie stated that she was 10 pounds heavier after giving birth and that she didn't take that into account on her dive attempts.

After blaming ring rust on Brie's side, Ray blamed the inexperience of Morgan for the kicks going wrong.

"The inexperience is on Liv's end. Liv hasn't been wrestling for a long time. Yeah, she spent time in NXT, she's on the main roster now, but Liv is not getting a lot of great reps in the ring. It's not like -- she's in six-mans -- but it's not like she's out there in a lot of singles matches where she's truly being able to get those reps in that she needs where she understands how to do everything," he said "You could tell by the way Liv was feeding her body to Brie that she was feeding in an incorrect way. Normally you don't want to have your shoulders rolled in and your head down when you're taking those kicks. You want to have shoulders back and your chin up. You want to have your chest exposed."

In the video below, Morgan is well-positioned on the kicks, but Brie begins taunting the rest of the Riott Squad and speeds up the kicks, throwing her aim off. The first kick catches Morgan in the chin, which causes her to dip her head and take the second kick in the face.

As previously reported, Brie apologized to Morgan backstage and there appears to be no heat between the two.
