Butch Reed, a legendary African-American Superstar of the territory era of wrestling, is, unfortunately, battling some health issues as His official Instagram account revealed that he has suffered two heart attacks this year.

Butch Reed was a top superstar in the championship wrestling from Florida territory and would later be moved to the WWF, where he was often rumored to be the person who is supposed to defeat Ricky Steamboat for the Intercontinental Championship in 1987.
Later in his career, he teamed with Ron Simmons in WCW to form the tag team “Doom.” Highlights of that tag team include two matches against the four horsemen at Halloween Havoc and Starcade in 1990.
