Butch Wins NXT Global Heritage Invitational, Faces Noam Dar For NXT Heritage Cup At NXT No Mercy

Butch has a date with destiny.

Butch defeated Joe Coffey in the finals of the NXT Global Heritage Invitational Tournament and has earned the right to face Noam Dar for the NXT Heritage Cup Championship at NXT No Mercy.

The finals took place on September 26. Despite interference from the other members of Gallus, Butch was able to put away Joe Coffey with The Bitter End and punch his ticket to Bakersfield, California.

This will be the first time Dar defends the cup in 5 weeks since the announcement of the start of the tournament, and this will also be the first time that Butch goes for that particular championship with roots in NXT UK.

Butch, as Pete Dunne, was the second NXT UK Champion but had moved permanently to America by the time the NXT Heritage Cup was put into play.

Should Butch win against Noam Dar on September 30, it will be the first time he wins a championship as Butch.
