Cain Velasquez Plea Hearing Pushed Back To 8/19, Civil Lawsuit Filed Against Harry Goularte

Here's the latest in the Cain Velasquez saga.

MMAFighting.com is reporting that Velasquez's plea hearing has been rescheduled and is now set to take place on August 19, 2022. Meanwhile, the motion hearings for the case will take place two weeks later on August 5, 2022.

Velasquez is currently being held without bail in the Santa Clara County Jail due to impending charges that include first degree murder. Recently, he was denied bail for a second time.

Meanwhile, MMAJunkie reported that a civil lawsuit has been filed against Harry Goularte. Goularte was accused by Velasquez of sexually molesting his son while in daycare. The lawsuit alleges that Goularte participated in general negligence, retention, supervision, negligent hiring, training and investigation, sexual battery, sexual misconduct and sexual harassment. The lawsuit was also filed against Goularte's business Certified Custom Concrete, his mother Patricia Goularte and her childcare business amongst others.
