California Governor Gavin Newsom Uses WWE Clips To Show Democratic Figures Defeating Republicans

The California Governor is having some fun on social media.
It was a big night for Democrats in the 2025 elections on November 4th. Democrats swept the key races. There was a victory in the Virginia governor’s race, which saw Democrats gain 64 seats in the 100-member state house. Democrat Mary Sheffield became the first woman to be elected Mayor of Detroit. There was also a win in New York as Zohran Mamdani is now the Mayor-elect of New York City.
Following those victories and others on the night, California Governor Gavin Newsom took to social media and used WWE clips to show Democratic figures getting the best of Republicans. The first clip of his video saw him and former USA President Barack Obama tag-teaming the current President Donald Trump.
Obama’s head was put on Shawn Michaels’ body, and Newsom’s head was placed on Triple H’s body while they beat up Vince McMahon, who had Trump’s head on his body.

Newsom scored a win on the night as well with his Proposition 50 plan passing through, which gives Democrats an advantage as they seek to counter Republican redistricting.
