"Even miracles take time."
Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship on May 4, 2021 . This marked Candice's first championship in WWE since her debut in the latter half of the last decade.
Taking to Instagram, the usually private LeRae reflected on her victory and provided some words of advice to those who are chasing their dreams.
It took me almost 2 decades of work for this moment, but hey—“Even miracles take a little time.”
Thank you everyone for the love and support. It’s still so surreal and 6-year-old me is losing her mind!
To my fellow unpopular, socially awkward, “weird”, anxious, overlooked, “geeky” humans .... believe in your dreams and don’t give up on YOURSELF.
The road may be very long, but it will be worth it. I believe in you.
Her husband, Johnny Gargano also commented on the victory saying that Candice is his favorite wrestler and that he is proud of both she and Indi Hartwell.
I know how hard she's worked and what she's sacrificed for this moment. Candice will always be my favorite wrestler.
Tonight was long overdue but the fact she was able to share it with someone we both adore makes it that much sweeter.
