Carlito led the Latino World Order to victory on WWE NXT New Year's Evil.
Dragon Lee had previously announced that he would not be able to team with Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro against the No Quarter Catch Crew at NXT New Year's Evil because he had visa issues.
As first reported by Fightful Select's Cory Brennan, LWO member Carlito was backstage at WWE NXT and filled in for Lee. The LWO would get the victory over Drew Gulak, Myles Bourne, and Damon Kemp on the January 2 episode of WWE NXT.

This was the first time Carlito wrestled on television since losing to Bobby Lashley on the November 10 episode of WWE SmackDown. He was originally scheduled to wrestle Santos Escobar at WWE Survivor Series but Dragon Lee stepped in for him following the former WWE Intercontinental Champion being injured by Escobar.
