Cedric Alexander Ends Leon Slater’s Reign As X Division Champion On 5/14 TNA iMPACT

Cedric Alexander is the new TNA X Division Champion.

May 15th was the date that Leon Slater was going to become the longest-reigning X Division Champion in TNA history.

The day before the record would be locked in, Slater had to put the title on the line against Cedric Alexander in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match on the May 14th TNA Thursday Night iMPACT.

The score was tied 1-1, and Slater went for his Swanton 450, but Alexander evaded. Alexander would go on to hit Slater with back-to-back Lumbar Checks to pick up the win and the X Division Championship.

Alexander is a member of The System faction in TNA, and they now have the X Division Championship through Cedric, while Brian Myers and Bear Bronson hold the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

Slater had held the X Division Title since July 2025, when he won the title from Moose at the Slammiversary pay-per-view.
