WWE Cruiserweight and fan favorite Cedric Alexander had a bit of an injury scare at Friday's WWE NXT live event in Winter Haven, Florida.
During his win over the 6-7, 280 pound Dan Matha, Cedric got out of the corner to avoid a running clothesline but something apparently had gone wrong and they quickly skipped to the finish, in which Cedric got the pinfall after his finisher, the Lumbar Check. Some in attendance were saying that Cedric appeared to have been "knocked loopy," maybe from the pre-corner move. After the pin, the referee threw up the dreaded "X" symbol and training staff came down from the back.
However, interviewer Kayla Braxton entered the ring before the trainer could get in.
According to some in attendance, Cedric did cut a good promo about the win and challenging Rich Swann for the Cruiserweight title, but he seemed "way off." The trainer and the referee bout checked Cedric out before he headed to the back.
Cedric did not appear at Saturday's live event but he Tweeted to a fan that he's "100%":
