Cedric Alexander says that he feels like TNA doesn’t get the credit for helping bring women’s wrestling to where it is today.

Recently, TNA would debut the Knockouts TV Championship, with a tournament set to crown the first champion of the title’s history. Now, a current TNA champion has commented on the growth of the Knockouts division.

While speaking to A2TheK in a new interview, Cedric Alexander was asked about the recent addition of a TV Knockouts Championship for the Knockouts division.

“I think that’s very important. I feel like TNA also doesn’t get the credit for helping bring women’s wrestling to where it is today. Because before there was the women’s revolution with WWE and stuff like that, the TNA knockouts were killing it every single week on the top of the card and I don’t think they get enough credit for how much work was put into that and uh I feel like the the current crop of ladies we have now are very capable of doing the exact same thing. It’s just a matter of giving them the time, giving them the ability, and now they have a TV title to fight for. So it’s just more opportunity for ladies to show what they can do, and I’m excited to see it for them.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Cedric Alexander spoke about the one match he didn’t get to have in WWE. You can read more about that here.
