Cedric Alexander Recounts What Match Agent Told Him Before Kota Ibushi Bout In WWE Cruiserweight Classic: “‘Hey Kid, Do Whatever You Want'”
Alexander was given the green light.
It was in 2016 when WWE presented the Cruiserweight Classic tournament. One of the marquee matches of the tournament saw Kota Ibushi versus Cedric Alexander. The post-match of the bout saw the crowd chanting for Alexander to be signed, and Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque coming out to signal that he’d get that done.
Alexander reflected on that match while on Busted Open. He remembers the assigned agent being Matt Bloom, who was not there for it. Bloom did get in contact with Alexander beforehand and told him to ‘go crazy.’
“The C.W.C., my second match in against Kota Ibushi, I remember the agent for that match was Matt Bloom, and he wasn’t even there when the match happened. He had another show to go to. He just said, ‘Hey kid, do whatever you want. This is your big time. Go crazy.’”
Alexander is currently with TNA Wrestling as a member of The System faction with Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, and Bear Bronson.
