Chad Gable Looks Forward To Telling More Stories With Heels As WWE IC Champion
Chad Gable has been WWE Intercontinental Champion since WWE SummerSlam when he defeated Penta.
In his first title defense, he successfully defeated Rey Mysterio.
Speaking to Donnie DaSilva and Jimmy Korderas on Huge Pop, Donnie mentioned that he was looking forward to seeing Gable mix it up with heels and not always have a match based on respect.
“No, I’m looking forward to that, too. I’ve got a lot to show and offer people as a [fiery] babyface. A true fighting champion. I’m not just talking about ‘oh, let’s have respectful matches every week and show what we can do and bring value to this title.’ There are a million ways to bring value to the title, and one of the ways is being a fighting champion against guys who are considered dastardly. We have some in the pipeline, and I’m very confident we will get one of them very soon, and it’s going to be a great match and a great opponent for me. I can’t wait to tell those stories,” he said.
Gable was confronted by Ethan Page on Monday’s WWE Raw, though Page talked himself out of a title shot.
