Chad Gable Submits Penta To Capture Intercontinental Championship At WWE SummerSlam
Chad Gable’s first singles title.
One of the bouts on the bill for WWE SummerSlam night two was Penta defending the Intercontinental Championship against Chad Gable.
Gable is from Minnesota, and his family was ringside. Throughout the match, Gable was managing the shoulder Penta worked on.
Gable ended up tapping Penta out with an ankle lock submission. Post-match, Penta grabbed the belt and put it around Gable’s waist.
Gable’s family came into the ring, and his son was wearing the same singlet as his father. Gable gave a post-match speech and said he’s from Minneapolis and shouted his family out for sticking by him. He then chugged two beers before leaving the ring.
