Champions vs. Challengers Mixed Tag Team Match Set For 9/30 NXT

Champions and challengers will face off in a mixed tag team match this week on NXT.

It was announced today that North American Champion Damian Priest and NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai will team up to face Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae on the September 30 episode of NXT. The match is a preview of two title bouts set for NXT TakeOver 31 where Priest will face Gargano and Shirai will face LeRae.

Previously announced for this week on NXT is a tag team match between Undisputed Era and the team of Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch where the winner faces Breezango for the NXT Tag Team titles at NXT TakeOver 31. In addition, Shawn Michaels will host a face-off between NXT Champion Finn Balor and Kyle O'Reilly as the two will face off at TakeOver.

Fightful will have live coverage of TakeOver 31, taking place on October 4.
