Channing Tatum Says They Didn’t Write Anything For Kevin Nash In ‘Magic Mike,’ ‘He’s A True Renaissance Man’

Channing Tatum has a lot of love for Kevin Nash.

Kevin Nash has some major acting accolades to his credit, including “The Punisher,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze,” and “Magic Mike.”

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show, Channing Tatum was asked about working with Nash.

“Me and Kevin, he’s like a big brother or an uncle. We didn’t have to write anything for him. He’s the most fascinating dude. Whatever your projection of Kevin Nash is, it will supersede your expectations. I remember the first day on Magic Mike, I hadn’t really hung out with him other than meeting him and I saw his audition tape, and I knew him from his career in WWE. Minute one, we go in and we’re sitting in this back kitchen area where all the ‘strippers’ get ready. He’s just casually in a conversation with Joe Manganiello about Marxism and Cubism and all these isms that I had no idea how to be in the conversation. They’re chopping it up about things you would never guess they would talk about or knew of. He’s a fascinating dichotomy. He truly is a giant gladiator of our time and also a true Renaissance man. I don’t know how to explain it [laughs]. He’ll talk to you until you’re blue in the face about some of the best wine he’s ever had. He’s a fascinating person and I love him to death. He is unapologetically himself. I’ll always cherish him,” said Tatum.

Tatum is set to star in Roofman, which opens in theaters on Friday.

Nash is currently recovering from a penis procedure.
