Charlie Says She ‘Channeled Tommaso Ciampa In Her Soul’ When She Turned On Tegan Nox In NXT, Wants Bucket List Match With Willow Nightingale

Charlie reflects on channeling her inner Tommaso Ciampa when she turned on Tegan Nox.

At NXT Takeover: War Games in 2019, Dakota Kai (Charlie) and Tegan Nox (Nixon Newell) would feature as part of team Rhea Ripley. However, when it was time for Kai to enter the match, she would turn on her friend, viciously attacking her inside their teams shark cage.

While speaking to Kid Yeet in a new interview, Tommaso Ciampa reflected on the moment, comparing that attack to his Blackheart character.

“That I was part of or not that I was part of? Because if it’s not that I was part of, I’m going to say Dakota Kai in War Games kicking Tegan Nox’s head off. That had a little Blackheart reminiscence to it and I dug it. If only Dakota Kai was here and we could get a cameo from her.”

Charlie would then step into the interview, confirming that she channeled her inner Ciampa for the spot.

“I did channel you! (Ciampa) I did channel you in my my soul. I’m like let me be Ciampa right now.”
