Charlotte On Being Nervous Heading Into Women's MITB Ladder Match

The first ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match has even the first ever RAW Women’s champion feeling the jitters about competing in such a match.

In an interview with WWE after Tuesday’s SmackDown, Charlotte said it’s great being a part of such a historic match, but admitted that she is nervous heading into the match.

“I almost didn’t believe it,” Charlotte said. “It’s just for me another opportunity to be a part of a huge moment for women and WWE. Being a part of history, I couldn’t pick a better group of women to do it with and I think it’s awesome that SmackDown Live is getting this opportunity. Obviously, I’m very nervous. I’ve never been off a ladder. I don’t know what a ladder feels like. I think it’s great and I want us to steal the show. I think it shows how much WWE is investing in the women as a whole, giving us storylines, giving us matches that women have never had before. That’s why it’s history. With the ladder and the briefcase element, I think the women are going to steal the show.”

Charlotte joins Tamina, Carmella, Becky Lynch and Natalya as the competitors in the match. The winner will have an opportunity to challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at any time and place.

Money in the Bank will take place in St. Louis, Missouri on June 18. Fightful will have complete coverage of the event, including a post-show podcast live on Fightful.com.
