Charlotte Flair shares what will be her next hurdle in her recovery from a major knee injury.
In December of 2023, Charlotte would suffer major knee injury as she tore her ACL during a WWE SmackDown match with Asuka that also led to her tearing her MCL and meniscus. She would return from injury at the 2025 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble, where she would return with a brace to support her injured knee, something she continues to wear as we head into the final month of the year.
While speaking to Men’s Health in a new interview, Charlotte Flair spoke about having to wear a knee brace following returning from injury, noting that wrestling without it will be her next hurdle.
“The only thing is I still am in my brace. I don’t even know if I’m still in that time period. I know we are required to wear, oh my gosh, I’m going to forget the name, the Don Joy. I hope I’m saying that right. Mine’s bedazzled, so it doesn’t matter. Mine is crystal. My stylist crystalized it for me because we’re like, ‘oh, this knee brace is ugly. It doesn’t go with my outfit.’ Do I need to be in it? I don’t know. So that I think is my next, my next hurdle.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Charlotte recalled her ‘meltdown’ as a result of the injury. You can read more about that here.
