Charlotte Flair States That She Teared Up Watching The WWE 'Evolution' Promo Video

Charlotte is at a lost for words.

Tomorrow night beginning at 7 PM EST on the WWE Network, the sports-entertainment company's all-women's PPV 'Evolution' kicks off and one of the scheduled matches on the show is a headlining bout between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Live Women's Championship which will be contested in a Last Woman Standing match. Both "The Queen" and "The Irish Lass Kicker" have been doing a great deal of PR work for WWE to promote 'Evolution' on Sunday and one of the outlets that Charlotte spoke with was Sky Sports at the 'Girl Up'/WWE partnership announcement.

Charlotte was asked for her thoughts heading into 'Evolution' and it was clear that the former 8-time WWE Women's Champion was taken aback as she realized that the company's first all-women's PPV is almost here.

?So I?m here at the Girl Up partnership announcement and working on women in sports, and we played the Evolution package and I started tearing up." Charlotte revealed. "It hadn't really hit me I guess that we?re having the all-women?s PPV; because we talk about it and you promote it and it's go, go, go and now that?s it?s here, I?m just overwhelmed. I just can?t believe how far we?ve come in such a short period of time and to think of the women of the past who are going to be on the show, the present and the girls of the future from NXT all in one night and what we represent and what we?ve been fighting for and what the women for the company have been fighting for the last twenty years - longer, thirty years. It?s unbelievable and I think with Evolution happening on Sunday I really believe that the impact is going to trickle down - whether it?s into the business world, whether it is NCAA sports because we?re saying, ?Hey, women deserve as much spotlight and airtime and commitment as men do.? She concluded.

The conversation then turned to the announcement that former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns' Leukemia returned and he has to step away from the ring to beat cancer one again. The outpour of love from the wrestling world came raining in for Roman, and Charlotte showed her respect for "The Big Dog" and had the following to say about his forthcoming battle:

?He has just given us so much - knowing that he has been battling this and the position that he?s in." She continued, "He has to be on top of his game. He is our top dog, and knowing that rain or shine he was battling this, just goes to show how strong he is and I think he?s given us the gift of his athleticism, given us the gift of his work ethic but I truly believe the greatest gift will be his comeback."

On a lighter note, the hype for WWE 'Evolution' is in full force and there was a round-table interview posted on WWE's YouTube channel featuring Toni Storm, Trish Stratus and Sasha Banks all talking about the growth of women's wrestling.
