Chase Owens: Kenny Omega Understands Japanese Wrestling Fans Better Than Most People There

Chase Owens spoke to the High Spot Podcast recently about his experience with Bullet Club, as well as their feud with the Firing Squad. You can see the full podcast above, and check out some submitted highlights below.

Chase Owens on what he’s learned from working alongside Kenny Omega:

Will Ospreay: It’s My Ambition To Go To Uganda And Wrestle In SGW

“Kenny has helped me out on in-ring work, whether getting to tag with him or getting advice on singles matches. He’s made himself a star in Japan, he’s taught himself Japanese. He started at DDT Pro and he’s worked and worked, he understands the Japanese wrestling fans probably better than most people there, so to sit on a bus and pick his brain and in the locker room has been a big help.”

Chase Owens on Firing Squad’s G1 Special surprise attack on Bullet Club:

“Felt betrayed. The night before me and Tanga Loa went to a San Francisco Giants baseball game together. Nothing was brought up about the whole Bullet Club situation. It was crazy, never did I think that would happen. It’s just two different ways of thinking between Kenny, Tama, or even (Bad Luck) Fale and I guess that they did what they thought needed to be done.”

Chase Owens on what he’s learned from Cody:

“Cody, ever since I met him he’s been super nice & super cool to me. He’s definitely another guy that you can learn from. He’s learned from one of the greatest in the world in the American Dream Dusty Rhodes, so everything Cody passes down is more than likely coming from Dusty himself, so that’s always a good thing to have.”
