From World Star PR:

AEW Superstar Paul Wight has donated the shirt of his back to benefit Wrestling For Warriors on his recent virtual meet and greet on FanRoom Live.

Wrestling For Warriors Executive Director Christopher Holt and a Warrior named Teddy Quinn had the opportunity to speak with Paul Wight on FanRoom Live. Teddy is a Warrior, aka a child who has a disability or terminal illness, yet continues to fight against it on a daily basis... all while never showing signs of giving up. At the end of their conversation Paul did the unthinkable and offered to donate the shirt off his own back (his signature no more BS shirt) to be auctioned off to benefit Wrestling For Warriors. The auction will be live in Mid-June on FanRoomLive.com all the way until Christmas Eve!

Paul Donald Wight II (AKA “Big Show”) is an American actor, professional wrestler, and professional wrestling commentator. He is signed to All Elite Wrestling as an in-ring performer as well as a commentator for its forthcoming web television show, AEW Dark: Elevation.

Wrestling For Warriors:

The inspiration for “Wrestling For Warriors” was discovered after reflecting back on just how much of a positive impact professional wrestling, and it’s larger than life characters, has had on us throughout some of the greatest hardships of our lives.

Each event that WFW organizes and promotes will have a different cause associated with it. A few examples of this would be Pediatric Cancer, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Neurofibromatosis, among others.

The net profits from each event will go directly to the associated cause, helping fund their respective research efforts. Additionally, WFW will utilize a portion of the net profit to purchase medical equipment for those who are in attendance, afflicted with the associated cause and prescribed the equipment by a physician yet are unable to acquire it on their own due to insurance company denial.

Lastly, we understand the importance of giving those who are fighting against illness, something to smile about. That’s why we created the “Warrior Plus” program. This program will allow any Warrior, which we consider to be a child fighting against disability or illness, to submit a request to meet the wrestlers in a VIP setting, at NO COST, during the event they are attending. More information can be found by clicking the “Refer A Warrior” tab.

We here at “Wrestling For Warriors” consider it an honor, a privilege and a blessing to promote these events. We hope that our efforts to raise awareness and needed capital, will lead to finding cures and eventually bettering the lives of those who are such an inspiration, in ours.

- Recently, Rachael Ellering was interviewed by WrestleZone and she spoke about her excitement for her current run in IMPACT Wrestling:

“I don’t think it’s a comeback because I never really had that proper chance to show what I can do somewhere. My time in WWE was very short, and being part of those COVID cuts last year was difficult. It was difficult for a lot of us to go through, but I never got that chance to shine anywhere. I don’t think it’s a comeback,” Ellering said. “I think it’s just me finally being given that chance and that’s what IMPACT has done. They’re already allowing me to be me and show what I can do and prove that I deserve to be in these spots, and the whole time that’s what I’ve wanted.”

- Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Santos Escobar revealed his desire for his son to carry on his legacy.

“Oh yes. People saw him at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. It was impromptu, but he owned the moment. He was not nervous. He came to the back, shook hands with Triple H, shook hands with Shawn Michaels, and shook hands with William Regal. Every time he’s out there, he overshadows me, but that’s fine [laughing].”

“So before I found this voice, I used to just have this deep voice. The current one came from me just liking voice acting. Conan O’Brien does voices as he is doing skits, so it came from that. I am also a huge fan of The Simpsons. Also Mark Hamill from Batman the animates series. I will practice them in the car and cut promos by myself. It helps a lot on the long drives to shows. Filming the videos and hearing them back helped me to tweak them.”
