Chelsea Green: I Climbed The Ladder As Fast As I Could In Case They Thought Of Changing The Finish
Chelsea Green captured the Interim WWE Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam, winning a five-way ladder match against Charlotte Flair, Lash Legend, Jade Cargill, and Tiffany Stratton.
Green found herself alone in the ring after initially being stopped by B-Fab and Michin from winning the match. After raising up, Green scurried up the ladder to grab the title.
“Bayley texted me the other day and was like, ‘Girl, I’ve never seen someone climb a ladder so fast.’ Part of me, in that moment, I was like, ‘If I don’t get up there, climb that ladder, and grab that title, they could change the finish.’ Anything could happen. If I stand there, someone could push me off the ladder. There are all these thoughts going on. ‘Nope, not today. It’s going to be my moment,'” Green said on the Nikki & Brie Show.
The Interim label has since been removed from Chelsea’s reign.
On Friday’s SmackDown, Chelsea Green was given 30 days to defend her title.
