Chelsea Green comments on her future match with Rhea Ripley where the pair will unify the WWE Women’s Championships.
At WWE SummerSlam, Chelsea Green captured the WWE Interim Women’s Championship that was created due to Rhea Ripley suffering a knee injury at Clash In Italy earlier this year. A unification match between the pair will take place upon Ripley’s return, should Green hold onto the interim title until Ripley is cleared.
While speaking to ETalk in a new interview, Chelsea Green spoke about the potential match with Ripley, noting that it is her current dream match.
“I’ve had 13 years to think about who my dream opponent would be, but I think it’s only fair that I say Rhea Ripley. Considering I am technically the interim Women’s Champion, you know, and Rhea Ripley is the WWE Women’s Champion, I think we need to duke it out for a position of maybe permanent residency.”
The two women have previously faced off in Royal Rumble matches and a tag team match on WWE television, but have yet to face off in one on one competition.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Green spoke about her current orbital injury. You can read more about that here.
