Chelsea Green Thought Match Against Nia Jax On WWE SmackDown Was A ‘Banger’: “The Internet Told Me Otherwise”

Chelsea Green looks back fondly on the match with Nia Jax.

The September 11th installment of Friday Night SmackDown took place in Mexico City, Mexico. One of the title matches saw Chelsea Green defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Nia Jax.

Green retained the belt, and during her appearance on Notsam Wrestling Live!, she expressed her thoughts that the match was a ‘banger.’ She added that social media told her otherwise. Green went on to state that fellow WWE talent Jordynne Grace told her that she enjoyed the match.

“I did break my orbital bone and then I wrestled Nia (Jax), and I thought it was a banger of a match but the internet told me otherwise,” she laughed. “One thing about them, they stay humbling me. For 13 years, I can’t get a big head.” Green continued, “My friends are also very real with me, like Jordynne Grace. Very, very real, whether I wanna hear it or not. She told me she liked the match. That’s who I trust. Oh, she would tell me (if she didn’t like it). Oh! She would tell me in-depth.” She added, “It feels real personal (on social media), especially when Mexico City tells you that it was amazing and they are loud the whole time and you come back feeling like, yes! I just entertained the sh*t out of them, and then you get a whole different opinion elsewhere. It’s very jarring.”

Green is officially recognized as the WWE Women’s Champion. She was previously the interim champion as Rhea Ripley recovers from a torn meniscus.
