It has been eight years since Chris Harris' brief and forgettable tenure in WWE, but the former seven-time NWA World Tag Champion has not forgotten, based on recent comments.
Appearing on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, Harris reflected on his time in WWE, which began when he signed with the company in January of 2008. Harris got called up to the main roster that summer under the name of Braden Walker, but lasted only a month before he was released.
Harris came to WWE after a lengthy stint with TNA Wrestling where he enjoyed most of his success teaming with James Storm as America's Most Wanted.
?When they debuted me, nobody knew who Braden Walker was and I think some people would know who I was or with a name change, I could deal with that," Harris said on the podcast. "I knew that there was a good chance that they weren?t going to use ?Wildcat? but the way they presented me was like a bag of crap. There was nothing for the people to care. Some of these bad one liners they were giving me and vignettes were ridiculous, it was just a bad combination. It is hard to find the words. What I saw there, I wasn?t impressed. It was a billion dollar company and they didn?t know what the hell they were doing from one minute to the next."
Harris said that he went to WWE not knowing what to expect but acknowledged the risk because "the people that had made the jump never fared too well." He also recalled early conversations with Triple H, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker when he initially signed with the company.
"They made a big deal about it when I first came in and now to know that it was all crap," Harris said.
Aside from a brief run back with TNA in 2011, Harris has not appeared for any major American promotion since his WWE release in August of 2008.
