Chris Harris Says WCW Talked About Debuting Him Via Country Music Video, Discussed Jeff Jarrett Story

Harris wrestled a handful of matches on WCW Worldwide but never made it to WCW Nitro.

Speaking on Rewind Recap Relive, Harris discussed the plans that were talked about regarding his WCW debut.

"I was in a country music video around that time and they had talked about debuting me by showing that video. To me, that was a unique way to debut a wrestling character. The video was wrestling-themed. I thought it would be a great deal. Of course, I probably would have done anything at that time. I thought it was an interesting way to debut. Within weeks, it was shut down. One of the things I heard from some of the writers was that it was too southern or too country, which I thought was interesting because WCW was always considered a southern company. I didn't really understand it, but who was I to complain? They even talked about a story involving me and Jeff Jarrett. There were ideas, but they never saw the light of day. I chalk it up to experience and I got TV exposure," recalled Harris.

Harris would share the ring with Jarrett a handful of times in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Harris discussed his return to IMPACT in 2021 and a possible AMW reunion with James Storm. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
