Chris Jericho Believes Everyone In AEW Is On The Same Page; Says "The Buck Stops" With Tony Khan

Chris Jericho discusses how decisions will be made in AEW.

In WWE, everyone knows that the final decision is up to Vince McMahon. In All Elite Wrestling, there could be five decision makers. President Tony Khan will be flanked by four co-Executive Vice Presidents; Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks. A potential creative conflict between the four wrestlers (and Khan) has already been joked about on recent episodes of Being The Elite as Cody Rhodes & Kenny Omega picked Leva Bates to be The Librarian while The Young Bucks chose Peter Avalon.

Despite the jokes, AEW star Chris Jericho isn't worried about creative differences in AEW.

"As people, we get along really good. I think once we start weekly television, then you're going to see the different personalities come out because, the one thing about WWE is the buck stopped with Vince," Jericho told Busted Open Radio. "With us, we all have opinions and we all have a say. The buck stops with Tony but I think there's going to be a lot more debating than there is with Vince. When Vince's mind is made up, it's made up. But everyone gets along great because we're all doing this....we all know what we could've had or might've had on the other side but to do it together and start something completely brand new is really exciting. There might be certain things you like or don't like but the overall picture, I think everyone is on the same page."

While AEW has yet to run an official event, the company is already off to a buzzing start, selling out this weekend's Double or Nothing event and landing a television deal with TNT. But once the promotion starts on TV, Jericho knows things will get tougher.

"Obviously, you're not going to sell out every show you're gonna do. And once you start going weekly then the reality will set in. There's a lot of guys who have never worked weekly TV. That's another reason I think I'm there because that's what I've done for the last 25 years. It's gonna be a real adventure. It's exciting. You don't beat WWE. They are the standard, they are family entertainment, they are Disney. But I like [Quentin] Tarantino movies too."

Jericho is set to headline this Saturday's event when he meets Kenny Omega in a rematch of their Wrestle Kingdom 12 bout.
