Chris Jericho Defeats EVIL At 'Power Struggle' And Retains The IWGP Intercontinental Championship

The reign of Jericho continues.

"The Ayatollah Of Rock 'N' Rolla" Chris Jericho is fresh off his successful 'Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager At Sea' cruise then it was off to Osaka, Japan where he was set to defend the IWGP Intercontinental Championship against EVIL. Jericho and EVIL's rivalry began this past June at NJPW's 'Dominion' event where Jericho first captured the title and Jericho added insult to injury when he continued beating on EVIL's L.I.J. stable-mate Tetsuya Naito after already having beaten Naito for the belt.

Jericho took a hiatus from New Japan until he returned at 'King Of Pro Wrestling' on October 8th and attacked EVIL which has led to their championship bout today.

It was a hard-hitting matchup and both EVIL and Jericho took their fight across the 'EDION Arena' but the final sequences of the match saw Jericho lock in a deep "Lion Tamer" on EVIL that caused "The King Of Darkness to tap out.
