Chris Jericho thinks his match with Kenny Omega was one of the best.
On January 4th, Chris Jericho challenged Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 12. Less than a week later, he released a podcast with Kenny Omega as a guest and the two wrestlers pulled the curtain back on their match and revealed some of their secrets.
In an interview with Inside the Ropes, Jericho explained why he was comfortable with the podcast. He compared it to looking online after watching the recent Avengers movie.
"It's a great f-cking performance, a great match, one of the best you could ever see with an amazing storyline. But, I want to know more about it. This is not the sixties, seventies, or eighties. We are now a huge form of entertainment that's a part of the pop culture fabric where people want to know more," said Jericho.
While Jericho admits he and Omega let go of some secrets in the podcast, Jericho said they were "smart" not to give away everything.
