Chris Jericho gives his thoughts on the punch that took Becky Lynch out of Survivor Series.
On the latest episode of Talk Is Jericho, the former WWE Champion was joined by Jack Slade and Australia’s own Riot John Howarth for a special Survivor Series preview. As they were running down the card, the subject of Nia Jax's punch to Becky Lynch came up.
Jericho said about the incident, "If you see the punch that she took. Oh my gosh. It didn't look like a potato. It looked like a legitimate, deliberate punch to the face. But, whatever, we'll hold off on judgment for that."
Later in the podcast, when previewing the Survivor Series women's elimination bout between Raw and SmackDown, Jericho said about Jax, "She did knock the fuck outta Becky Lynch, so maybe she might get a little office heat for that." Jericho's co-hosts believed Jax would not be winning at Survivor Series, but Jericho was unsure, saying, "you never know what's going to happen in the wacky world of WWE."
Lynch suffered a broken face and severe concussion from the punch by Jax, keeping her off this Sunday's Survivor Series card. Lynch was scheduled to face Ronda Rousey.
