“…Kind of see what’s out there for me. I have had, the last couple of years I’ve been in NWA trying to develop myself and kind of evolve my character in every way I possibly could. Now I’d like to bring that to, whether it be AEW, IMPACT Wrestling, or of course WWE," Masters said.

Masters previously had two stints in WWE. He was released in 2007 following a second violation of WWE's Substance Abuse and Drug Policy, and he later returned in 2009. The company released him again in 2011. Masters worked for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling for a few years; he debuted in 2015 and ultimately confirmed his departure in January 2018.

Masters has been with NWA since 2021, and he has held the NWA National Heavyweight Championship. He last wrestled for the company at NWA Samhain on October 28, 2023.

Chris Masters previously said it would be great to return in the WWE Royal Rumble and face off with Bobby Lashley. Check out his comments here.
