Chris Sabin wants to hear the Battle Cry.
The Motor City Machine Guns are one of the most iconic tag teams in wrestling history, but both Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are both excellent singles competitors in their own right. Shelley is currently touring around the world and doing independent shows while Sabin mainly wrestles in IMPACT.
IMPACT is heavily involved in the Forbidden Door landscape of wrestling as multiple stars from the promotion frequently wrestle in other companies. In a new interview with Tru Heel Heat Wrestling, Sabin was asked about somebody he wants to face in IMPACT through means of the Forbidden Door.
"That's really tough. I think I would like to have a one-on-one with Kenny Omega. I've had one singles match with him and it was back in the day at an independent show in Winnipeg. And I remember it being a really good match and I think we could have another good one nowadays."
Omega and Sabin's only singles match was for Premier Championship Wrestling in 2005. The match was a Premier Cup Semi Final Match, with Omega coming out on top. During the event, Omega went on to win the Premier Cup by defeating The Amazing Red in the finals.
Sabin also encountered Omega in two six-man tag matches in IMPACT last year.
