Christian Cage Addresses Cope, Disowns Nick Wayne And Kip Sabian On AEW Dynamite

Christian Cage is moving on.

On the July 30 edition of AEW Dynamite, Christian Cage appeared for the first time since AEW All In Texas, giving him the chance to address Cope and his former Patriarchy brothers.

Cage started with Cope, admitting that he’s an asshole before reminding the ‘Rated-R Superstar’ that he’s made some less-than-ideal choices before as well. Cage wouldn’t reveal if he had found himself or not, instead taking the time to note that he is the same as Cope despite also being very different.

Moving on to Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian, Cope joked about their nuts finally dropping before also saying that he’s spent more money on rental cars alone than either of them have ever made in the wrestling business.

Cage even took a moment to take a shot at Mama Wayne, joking that he’s never been inside of a hole as deep or gaping as hers. Then, the focus shifted back to Nick Wayne, with Cage saying that he has the tools to be the new face of AEW. The only problem is that he’ll have to go through Cage to get that spot.

The segment seemingly wrapped up moments later, with Cage officially disowning Wayne and Sabian. As he was about to enter the backstage area, Cage was ambushed by Sabian and both Waynes. The former Patriarchy members proceeded to deliver a double chair shot to the head of Cage to end the segment.
