Christian Cage Named New Number One Contender For The AEW World Title

Christian Cage gets to the top of the ladder.

Christian Cage returned to the ring after a seven-year absence at this year's WWE Royal Rumble event. However, he was not long for the world of WWE as he signed full-time with AEW at this year's Revolution event back in March.

AEW Dynamite Viewership Numbers Since 2019

Upon appearing on television, he made it clear that he wanted to earn his way through the rankings and he was looking to be the number one guy in the industry and to do that you have to be AEW World Champion, now he has his chance.

After scoring his eighth consecutive victory with no losses to speak of just yet, Christian Cage was officially announced as the number one Contender on the August 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.
