Christian Cage: When I Got My Career Back, I Wasn’t Coming Back To Do A Greatest Hits Your
Christian Cage had to retire in 2014 due to concussion issues.
He returned to the ring in the 2021 Royal Rumble before joining AEW full-time.
“This is, without a doubt, the greatest, the best run,” Christian told Raj Prashad of Yahoo’s Uncrowned. “Did I see it happening this late? No, but it did. And like I said, when I got my career back after being gone for seven years, I wasn’t coming back to do the greatest hits tour. I was coming back to be the best. And that’s the kind of standards that I hold myself to. Anything less than that, you would not see me step foot in that ring.”
Christian Cage has been regularly appearing on AEW television since joining the promotion in 2021, winning the AEW TNT Championship on two occasions and the AEW Trios Championships.
He is set to team with Adam Copeland (Cope) at AEW All Out against FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler).
