Christian Cage looks back on competing with Adam Copeland in an I Quit Match in early 2024.

In March of 2024, the two former tag team partners would go one on one in an I Quit match in their home country of Canada, with Copeland coming away with the victory in the blood feud that kicked off following Copeland’s AEW debut at WrestleDream in 2023. Now, the pair are on the same side after teaming together to take on FTR.

While speaking to Jimmy V3 in a new interview, Christian would briefly speak about the I Quit match, noting that he wanted to state on the record that he said ‘I Don’t Quit’ to the referee at the culmination of the bout.

“I just want to put something on the record. I said ‘I don’t quit.’ The referee misheard me. Just don’t want to put that on the record.”

Christian and Copeland have not competed since AEW All Out back in September, where they would defat FTR in a tag team bout.

Elsewhere in another recent interview, FTR would reflect on wrestling Copeland and Christian at All Out. You can read more about that here.
