Chyna's Former Manager Claims She Was Offered WWF Championship Run, Picked Playboy Instead

Chyna made history multiple times in WWE as the first-ever female entrant into the Royal Rumble and Intercontinental Champion.

She was set to make even more history according to her former manager Anthony Anzaldo, who claims the company wanted to put the WWE Championship on her at one point, but Playboy got in the way.

“They offered her the WWE Championship belt, but Vince said, ‘But you can’t do Playboy’ because she got offered to do Playboy. She chose Playboy over the belt. She went and got her boobs done one week and didn’t tell Vince, and when she came back, he was f***ing pissed," Anzaldo told Wrestling Inc. "Vince says, 'If you do Playboy, you don't get the belt.' She said f--k the belt. I'm doing Playboy. Highest selling out of the box Playboy, first week Playboy, in the history of Playboy, more than Kim Kardashian. It's top three of all time behind Kardashian and Marilyn Monroe. So she does Playboy."

In a 2015 interview with Bell 2 Bell, Chyna gave a similar story, saying she was told by Vince that if she ever did Playboy, she couldn't be WWE Champion.

Elsewhere during the interview, Anzaldo claimed "Dark Side of the Ring" was working on an episode about Chyna, but he wouldn't give them the rights. Producer Evan Husney responded to the claim. You can view his comments by clicking here.
