CJ Perry (Lana) No Longer Advertised For WES Debut Show, Tom Hannifan Set To Do Commentary

The former Nia Jax now needs a new opponent for the inaugural Wrestling Entertainment Series Women's World Championship match.

On May 31, WES announced they were postponing their debut event, which was scheduled for June 4. The event was set to be headlined by Adam Scherr (formerly Braun Strowman) against Alistair Overeem.

The event was moved to July 9 at Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, UK.

Initially, CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana in WWE was scheduled to face Lina Fanene, formerly known as Nia Jax, in WWE for the Women's World Championship. when the event was rescheduled, this match was still initially announced for the rescheduled card. Now, however, the official lineup says that Lina will face an opponent to be determined.

Additionally, the promotion announced on Instagram that Tom Hannifan, current IMPACT Wrestling play-by-play announcer and formerly known as Tom Phillips in WWE, will be working with event.

For the original event, it was announced that Jonathan Coachman would be doing broadcasting, but no word has been given regarding his status for this event.
