Claudio Castagnoli Explains Why He Left The Ring During Bryan Danielson’s 5/11 AEW Collision Promo

Claudio Castagnoli explains his actions.

On Saturday’s edition of AEW Collision, Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli teamed up together to take on Top Flight in tag team action. This would be Danielson’s first match back in action after his out with Will Ospreay back at AEW Dynasty. After the bout, Danielson would take a microphone and cut a promo on The Elite ahead of Anarchy In The Arena. During this promo, Claudio would leave the ring and head to the back.

During AEW Rampage, Claudio was asked by Lexy Nair left the ring, with Claudio noting that he still doesn’t trust Eddie Kingston and is fearful for Danielson’s health in Anarchy In The Arena.

“Anarchy in the arena. You know, I was watching last Wednesday and Bryan coming out, defending AEW, wanting to fight for AEW. I understand that. Even more, I understand trying to beat the crap out of The Elite. But him and Eddie Kingston in the arena again, I mean, last time they were in the arena together, it was almost the end of Bryan’s career. I mean, I came in to replace Bryan against Zack Sabre Jr. because people didn’t know if Bryan was gonna wrestle again because of Eddie’s actions, and I know Eddie is walking around saying he’s a changed man, whatever. Eddie can go back to his old self within a second. I know him better than anybody else. Iknow this is Bryan’s last year, and he’s calling his shots, he’s doing all the matches he wants to do, and I support that. I support every single match. I went to Mexico with him. I go to Japan with him. I go wherever he wants and wherever he needs me. But that one, that one… I want my friend to retire healthy. So I just don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t want him to get hurt. I don’t.”

Bryan Danielson would cut a scathing promo on The Elite on Saturday’s AEW Collision. To read more about that, you can find it here.
