During the latest AEW 2.Show, Aubrey Edwards announced a new content update would be coming to AEW Elite GM.
The new content update is scheduled to release on the week of September 14, pending Apple approval.

The first season will be the Season of Punk and will be coming in September. The season pass will cost, but Aubrey wants to keep new wrestlers and such as free. The season content pass will include the following:
- CM Punk Avatar
- 1 New Skin
- 1 New Finisher
- 1 New Gimmick
- 5 New Accessories
- 4 New Emotes
Evil Uno joined the show to announce the launch of AEW Games Twitch featuring AEW wrestlers playing video games. Plus, a new show will debut on Twitch before Dynamite where wrestlers will be playing games. AEW Games on YouTube will continue to have new content as well including an upcoming FIFA tournament.
Finally, character art and footage of Jungle Boy in the AEW console game was revealed.
It is still unknown when the AEW console game will be released.
