CM Punk On AJ Lee’s WWE Return: When You Don’t Sleep Because You Don’t Want To Wake Up And Have It Be A Dream

On the September 5th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Becky Lynch and CM Punk would once again find themselves face to face, with Lynch slapping Punk repeatedly in a repeat of WWE Monday Night RAW earlier this week. However, there was one key difference in Chicago: Punk’s wife AJ Lee was in town. AJ would make her entrance to her signature ‘Let’s Light It Up’ theme to an incredible ovation before attacking Lynch as Becky fled with her husband Seth Rollins.

In a new Instagram story on Saturday morning, Punk reacted to his wife’s return to WWE, noting that he didn’t sleep because he didn’t want to to wake up and have it be a dream.

After this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, AJ would take Becky Lynch’s WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship and skip around the ring when the show went off the air. You can read more about that here
