CM Punk agrees with Sasha Banks. It, indeed, was clobberin' time on Friday, October 15.
Friday, October 15, 2021, was the first time AEW went head-to-head with Friday Night SmackDown. Viewership information would show that while SmackDown received a victory in the viewership and in the key demographic overall, AEW won the key demographic during the head-to-head portion of the events.
The head-to-head portion, for AEW, kicked off with CM Punk taking on another former WWE Superstar in Matt Sydal. WWE finished off their show with Sasha Banks against Becky Lynch and a contract signing between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar for their match this coming Thursday at WWE Crown Jewel.
Prior to that match on Friday, Sasha Banks had tweeted out a graphic of herself saying that it was clobberin’ time, referencing CM Punk's battle cry that he “borrowed” from Marvel's The Thing, saying it every time he walks to the ring for almost all of his career.
CM Punk has now quote-tweeted the graphic letting the world know that it was clobberin’ time after all.
