CM Punk Says He Would Team With Seth Rollins If It Meant Bringing A Championship To Chicago Sports
CM Punk is a noted Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan, and he would put his rivalry with Seth Rollins aside for the love of his teams.
Appearing on Up & Adams with Kay Adams, Punk was asked if he would team with Rollins if it meant the Blackhawks, Cubs, or Bears won a world championship.
“I would, yeah. That’s way bigger than me and whatever feelings I have about Seth. It’d be a real gift for him, too. He’d get to learn something that night and then, let’s say the Hawks win the Cup, that’s good for Hawks fans and I’m not going to deprive any hockey fan of that. I’m not a selfish little brat,” he said.
In June, Rollins was asked that same question by Adams, and he said he would not team with Punk, even if it meant the Bears would win a championship.
Rollins said, “I couldn’t do it. I would have to go home and look my daughter in the face and tell her that I was a coward. I couldn’t do that to my daughter, my family. My wife would disown me. I don’t know if I would ever sleep in the bed again. I’d get kicked to the curb. If there is one person that hates CM Punk more than me it might be Becky Lynch. It’s a full family affair.”
Elsewhere during the interview, Rollins gave a preview of WWE Survivor Series and the women’s WarGames match. You can find his full comments here.
