CM Punk Set For Cage Fury Commentary Gig On May 25

Those hoping to see CM Punk at AEW Double or Nothing on May 25 might be disappointed.

Back in March, Cage Fury announced they will be holding their CFFC 75 event on May 25. This is notable because last year it was announced that CM Punk had signed on to provide commentary for Cage Fury and is the same night as AEW Double or Nothing. The press release sent out in March states, "The event will also be broadcast live on UFC FIGHT PASS, with universally respected MMA voice John Morgan and international superstar CM Punk calling the action."

While there has been no confirmation, many fans speculated that Punk could make a surprise appearance at Double or Nothing.

CFFC is scheduled to be held at the Spotlight Showroom in ‎Coachella, California with the action beginning at 6 p.m. local time. AEW Double or Nothing will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada with bell time at 4 p.m. local time. It's roughly a four-hour drive from Coachella to Paradise or a one-hour flight.

Tony Khan did lend Chris Jericho his private jet to help Jericho get from All In (held in Hoffman Estates, Illinois) to his Fozzy show (held in Merriam, Kansas City) on Sept. 1, 2018.

The timing would seemingly make it difficult for Punk to appear at both shows. Punk has not been advertised to appear by AEW at Double or Nothing. He recently did a run in under a mask at an MKE event in Wisconsin.
