Punk and Cena have a storied history together inside the ring, with some of their most notable contests taking place on PPV, including their bout at Money In The Bank 2011. However, for Punk, the best match of their rivalry, and of his career, took place on a 2013 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, where a spot at WrestleMania was at stake.
While speaking to WWE Now in an interview recorded around the time of WWE 2K26’s release, CM Punk was asked about the WWE RAW match between the pair being included in the game, with Punk stating his belief that it is his best match.
“I think Money in the Bank’s more of a moment. I think just as a pure contest that that match, I think it was Dallas. I think that match means a whole lot more to me. I think that’s the best match I’ve ever had. Yeah, that’s my Michael Jordan flu game. I was sick as a dog, yeah.”
On this past Monday’s RAW, Punk would take aim at his WWE WrestleMania 42 opponent Roman Reigns in a fiery promo. You can read more about that here.
