CM Punk Thinks WrestleMania Match With Undertaker Is ‘Kind Of Overshadowed’
CM Punk thinks highly of his match at WrestleMania 29.
The bout, which saw Punk face off with The Undertaker, is widely considered to be one of the best matches of 2013. Still, most fans will often put this match on the back burner to talk about Punk’s battles with John Cena and Brock Lesnar instead.
Speaking with Games With Names for a new interview, Punk said that he feels like his match with Taker is “kind of overshadowed”.
“Believe it or not, I think this one’s kind of overshadowed a little bit. You guys gave me a list. Me vs. Brock, I feel like that’s always talked about. Me vs. Cena, we’re on the 15th year anniversary of me and Cena for Money In The Bank. I’ve talked about that one I don’t know how many times, I’m almost sick of talking about it. This one with Undertaker and it being a WrestleMania, I honestly feel like it’s a little bit, uh, it’s not talked about enough. So, I figured WrestleMania + Undertaker, two huge things in the world of wrestling. Why not talk about this?”
Julian Edelman proceeded to ask Punk if he thinks this bout is the greatest match of all time.
“Well, that’s subjective. I don’t even think I think this is the greatest match of all time. I think that’s way too subjective, you know? I think this is one of my greatest matches. I’d be interested to hear what Taker thought of it because he had such a long prolific career and did great many things and had all these cool moments. I like that it’s subjective, I like that everybody has an opinion. You can learn from a lot of that.”
