CM Punk would have had Asuka go full heel on WWE Raw.
Becky Lynch announcing her pregnancy and relinquishing the WWE Raw Women's Title to Asuka on Raw was a touching moment with genuine reactions. But if CM Punk had the pencil, he would have turned it into a pro wrestling angle.
"There's obviously a void," Punk said of Lynch's upcoming hiatus on WWE Backstage. "It's next woman up, which I always like, the personal competition. It was a missed opportunity, Asuka is really happy, and then the mist right in the face. I'm a heel at heart, that's what I would have done. Then you've got this evil woman at the top of the mountain, chasing this woman and looking for revenge for Becky."
WWE has a history of turning real life moments into angles, with a recent example being Dean Ambrose turning on Seth Rollins the same night Roman Reigns announced his hiatus due to Leukemia.
Later in the show, when Otis joined as a special guest, Punk stated that Otis should drop Mandy Rose now that he's Mr. Money in the Bank, calling her "a dime a dozen."
